Read the following and get those juices flowing:

The fine print:

  • The competition is open to all creative agencies and will start on 20 July 2023 and run until 21 September 2023.
  • The ad should be a full page tactical press ad for any of your clients.
  • All material submitted must be approved by the client. Financial Mail and Arena Holdings will not be responsible for any client approvals.
  • Advertising created by AI should be carefully reviewed to ensure that it does not infringe third-party copyrights or result in reputational damage to the advertiser. Arena Holdings cannot be held liable for content generated by AI.
  • The editor’s choice will be final.
  • Financial Mail reserves the right to choose the page position for the published print ad.
    Financial Mail may choose to publish more than one ad at a time.
  • Financial Mail may publish shortlisted material at a later date when more space is available.
    All shortlisted ads will be hosted on cc.fm.co.za site for the duration of the campaign.
  • All published ads will be submitted to the AdFocus judging panel to ascertain the overall winner.
  • The overall winner will be announced at the ADFocus event
  • Arena Holdings staff are not eligible to enter.

The even finer print:

  • The material deadline for Financial Mail weekly issue is 11h00 on a Monday.
  • Submissions need to be print ready in CMYK and sent as a PDF.

The size of a Full page FM page is as follows:

  • Trim: 275mm x 210mm (h x w)
  • Bleed: 283mm x 220mm (h x w)
  • Text/Print: 255mm x 190mm (h x w)
